What was suppose to be a Gateway International event - became the season ending event at Miami Valley in Xenia, Ohio.
After weather conditions were not looking good for the event to be held in Illinois, promoters cancelled both the USAC Sprint and Midget race at Granite City and the .25 Midget Nationals from Gateway. The Miami Valley Club stepped up to take the last Generation Next event. Points totals were so tight that championships were decided by many main event finishes.
