USAC MOPAR .25 Midgets Visit the Famed Milwaukee Mile the Weekend

Now that the Hagerstown Dirt has settled, .25 Midget drivers are looking to Round 8 of the USAC MOPAR .25 Midget Series.  In all 7 Rounds so far, there have been challenges.  "This is what has made our "Generation Next" Tour so exciting," said James Michael Spink, Developmental Director.  "We went from the heat of Phoenix to the cold of Nashville, the flat track at North Carolina, the wind tunnel at Albuquerque, the high banks of Orange Show, the short track of Mac-O-Chee and the Dirt of Hagerstown.  Not only have our drivers had to out run their competitors, but also brave the elements and inclement conditions at each venue."

Next up for the Mopar .25 Midget drivers is an exciting opportunity to race at the Milwaukee 225 with the IZOD INDYCar Series and the upper ranks of USAC racers.  Thursday, June 16 starts practice at the famed Milwaukee Mile for all the Series.  The Mopar .25 Midgets will race on their track on Friday and Saturday until 6 pm each night and be treated to USAC Midget and Silver Crown Qualifying and racing in the evenings on the main track.   "This will be a great opportunity for all of the USAC Drivers to mingle with the other series drivers," said Spink.

Race winners will receive a limited edition Briggs & Stratton "Flyer" model, a street-legal car built by Briggs dating back to the 1920's. The car still ranks as the lowest-price production car in the country! In addition, each Mopar .25 driver will receive a limited edition t-shirt at the Briggs & Stratton display and a souvenir Milwaukee Mile collector's card during registration.
Briggs & Stratton will also be displaying some of their company's history, including racing engines, vehicles and products. Participants are urged to ask about the World Formula and M Series racing programs.

"I can't wait to get to Milwaukee," said Michael Fanelli of Albuquerque.  "We missed Mac-O-Chee and Hagerstown but I got the chance to strap into a Ford Focus in California so that was a neat trade-off.    "Michael was born in Milwaukee," said his dad Frank.  "It's like going home for us."

Father's Day Weekend, 2011, will be exciting for .25 Midget drivers and their families.  After their champions are crowned on Saturday, and they watch the USAC Midgets and Silver Crown events, they will have the opportunity to experience the IZOD INDYCar Series on Sunday.

The event flyer for Rd #8 of the USAC "Generation Next" Tour at the Milwaukee Mile with the IZOD IndyCars is now available in the USAC .25 Owners Garage

Please note all drivers who participate in this event will be given a FREE ticket to the IZOD IndyCar race along with a FREE ticket to the USAC Traxxas Silver Crown and Mopar National Midget races on Saturday evening.
