USAC Mopar .25 "Generation Next" Series Heads to Connecticut
The USAC Mopar .25 Midget “Generation Next” Series heads northeast to the Little T Club located on the grounds of NASCAR Sanctioned Thompson International Speedway, Thompson, Connecticut, June 22 – 24, 2012.
The Little T Board is very excited to welcome the families of USAC this weekend. As the largest USAC Club, they hope to put on the largest GEN Next race this year. There are over 250 cars pre-registered. The club has planned for special awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with some other contingency awards.
“It’s just an hour from home, this time,” said Connor Gross. I’m looking forward to having all of my North Carolina Friends and all the other drivers come to my track this weekend.” In comparison with some of the other tracks on the 2012 Tour, drivers say that the Little T Track has long straight-aways and there is room for cars to pass.
Drivers and families arriving on Thursday will be treated to the “Thursday Night Thunder” event at the “Big Track” featuring 7 NASCAR Divisions – Super Late Models, Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, Lite Mods, Thomson Mods Ltd, Sportsman and Mini Stocks. There will be FREE Admission for ALL USAC Members.
Controlled Parking begins at 9 am on Thursday morning. If you have any questions, contact Dale Gross (978) 815-0237. Sign-Ins begin at 2 pm Friday and close at 7 pm. Cars will practice from 5 – 8 pm.
There will be a LIVE Band on Friday night set up around the Tech Shack.
Saturday, the Little T Club will have an ICE Cream Social and a Magician. Sunday will begin with Opening Ceremonies and a special invocation by members of “Racing with Jesus”.
For those of you using GPS – the address for Thompson Speedway is 205 East Thompson Road, Thompson, CT 06277. Take Route 395 North to Exit 99. Go right at the end of the exit ramp to center of village. Turn left on Route 193. Go approximately 1 mile to East Thompson Road. The club is asking that racers enter Little T Speedway at the Raceway Golf Club Entrance. Stay to the left and go down the hill.
