USAC HONDA .25 MIDWEST TWO-RACE DIRT SERIES ANNOUNCED


(Indianapolis – January 24, 2014) – The USAC Honda .25 Drivers will return to Eldora during the annual USAC 4 Crown Weekend with Silver Crown, Sprints and Midgets. The first of the two-race series will be held at Cerro Gordo Speedway, Cerro Gordo, IL on July 19 – 20 and will culminate on September 20 – 21 at the Ohio based ‘Little E Speedway.

The top 3 winners will be recognized at the USAC .25 Banquet in December. The series will be just two events and a driver must run both to be eligible for awards. All Pre-Registered Drivers for the Eldora event will receive admission to Saturday nights 4 Crown Main Events as well as participating in Opening Ceremonies. Tentatively plans may include a Friday night practice.

“We are excited to add another new venue for our .25 Drivers,” said Kyle McCain, .25 Director. “The Cerro Gordo Speedway has now sanctioned with USAC for 2014. Quartermidgets run on the dirt oval every Friday night averaging 25 quarter-midgets weekly. Getting back to Eldora for the 4 Crown is a highlight for our young drivers, as they love watching the USAC Stars compete on the big track.”

Cerro Gordon is located just 50 miles east of Springfield, IL on the grounds of the Piatt County Faigrounds six minutes from Decatur and 3 hours west of Indianapolis. Eldora is approximately 2 hours from Indianapolis.
