: Quarter Midgets of America

: RULE CHANGE PROPOSAL

: DATE: 09/11/1997

: Name, Address and Region of Club sponsoring proposal

: NORTH GEORGIA QMA
: Cumming, GA

: Rule #: 4. (first paragraph)
: Section: GENERAL RULES
: Page: 1

: PRESENT WORDING:

: All National rules or engine specification changes are to be made only at the Annual QMA Meeting with all Regional Directors present and are not to be changed until the next Annual QMA Meeting.

: PROPOSED WORDING:

: ALL National rules changes, Procedures manual changes or Technical manual changes may only be made at the Annual QMA Meeting with all Regional Directors or thier Authorized Representatives present or as otherwise provided for under this General Rule.

: Copies of all Rules changes, Procedure Manual changes and Technical Manual changes approved at the Annual QMA Meeting must be provided to all Regional Directors by the National Secretary within 15 days after the last day of the Annual QMA Meeting.

: Rules changes, Procedure Manual changes or Technical Manual changes approved at the Annual QMA Meeting must be provided to each QMA Club President by their Regional Director within 21 days of the last day of the Annual QMA Meeting. Club Presidents must distribute this information all QMA Club members within 30 days from the last day of the Annual QMA Meeting.

: Rules changes not involving power train or chassis specifications and all Procedure Manual changes will become effective 30 (thirty)days after the Annual QMA Meeting. Technical Manual changes or any changes involving power train or chassis specifications will become effective 90 (ninety)days after the last day of the Annual QMA Meeting.

: REASON FOR CHANGE:

: The way the current rule book reads now, a rule could be changed by popular demand i.e. a vote, and may never get the chance to be implemented prior to being changed by a subsequent mid season "emergency" BOD rule change.

: This new proposal gives ample time for the National Secretary, Regional Directors, Club Presidents and general members to comply with new rule changes without creating any undue hardships.

: Printed name of Club President : Bill Thomas
