Indoors are cool. American (or is it Capitol?) in Sacramento runs a great
indoor event at the Solano County Fairgrounds (right by Sears Point Raceway)
in Vallejo, CA. It's held in one of the big exhibition halls and is a
blast.

After the AA's run, you expect to see everybody come out of the hall with
blood running out of their ears! Boy is it loud!

It's a great time. Slicker than dookie at the start (everybody is sliding
around) until the rubber gets laid down and then most people push real bad.
Derek loves the slick runs and had a blast.

The first time we went to the Columbus Indoors the AA's ran and so did my
son and I out for some air. Our eyes were burning and we loved it. We ran
Honda that year and had a blast and some wrecks as well. My son hit his
first handler at Columbus. He still feels bad about it. Oh well I forgive
him. We hope to make 2 or 3 of the races this time around.

Yeah! Great Job Clausons and Boltons!

I thought those Region 4 people were supposed to be ultra competitive? ;)
Here two of our drivers from Sacramento go out there and kick there butts.

this at the Regional Banquet!

Don,

The thinking for planned growth is not narrow thinking. To think completely
uncontrolled growth is a good idea is Naive thinking.

It has (at least from my standpoint) nothing to do with Losing any control,
but rather wanting to be able to provide new members with a good experience,
as well as keeping the experience good for existing members. 1000 new
members next month... think about it reasonably.
For starters, WHO would train them all?
You can see where it goes from there.

I am ALL FOR growth, we need it, and it will help our sport immeasurably in
the long run. We just gotta do it right.

As far as an alliance, I am also all for that, but it should be a PARTNERSHIP
rather than a wholesale taking over of QMA, IMHO.
I would prefer to see a partnership with an open wheel racing organization
such as USAC. Whether a larger organization wants US is the bigger question.
