Rich,

If word gets out to members at our club. We have a few Senior Novices that
would be able to race as well. I will spread the word at our Old Board/New
Board meeting tonight. Thanks for the heads up Curtis!! Curtis will Dawn
need help in the Tower?

Richard,

Well, since you asked, the way I remember Ron Bolden's promise is as
follows:

Ron Bolden stood up told me and 19 other directors that he would post a
$100,000.00 bond made payable to QMA if the $500 motor was not in production
and readily available by January 1, 2000. Although there were plenty of
skeptics, many participants thought that was this would be a win-win
situation for QMA.

I also understand that three or four requests were made of Mr. Bolden's new
motor by QMA members near the end of the year.

No Bolden engines are available. So, Ron Bolden should pay QMA the
$100,000.00 he promised.

Now, I'm hearing that Ron Bolden doesn't believe his offer was a
validated(?), or something like that. If this is the situation, and Bolden
worms his way out of his stated promise (that quite frankly he flaunted at
Vegas 1999), then I can assure our QMA members that I would not put any
value in his next sales pitch or empty promises.

Unfortunately, the Secretary that Jim Fiser brought to the meeting (to
record the minutes) forgot or failed to write Bolden's promise in the
minutes, however, an oral agreement is just as binding. How an attorney can
miss that is beyond me.

I believe that the "potential" Bolden sold/promised us affected decisions
(of a majority of BOD/RD) on DECO rules voted on last year.

And please don't give me JARD's version. I know what I heard.

Mike,

I certainly do not know what was said, what was not said, what should
have been recorded, etc. Obviously I would not be alone in this based
on the string associated with this.

The clear truth can be captured most often in the very simple: "If it
ain't in writing, it never happened".

Now I know some would prefer to go round, and round, and round, on
things like "your word(s) should be binding", "others heard it too",
"tar and feather the minute taker", etc., but in the end if you examine
the content of your hand(s), and there is nothing there - that's what ya
got.

To WHO"S advantage was it to NOT include such a potential windfall
of cash to the QMA treasury ? Minutes or not, the RDs that heard the
promise should step forward and press this issue. If the current BOD
heard this promise and they don't use the Vegas meeting to undo the
approval of a nonexistent engine, then shame on them.
