Michael Messeri on Nickelodeon's Show "Figure It Out"
As some of you may be aware, Michael was chosen as a contestant on the
Nickelodeon game show "Figure It Out." They flew us down to Orlando, Florida
to tape the show as well as a racing segment. Special thanks to Maureen and
Keith Abbott who let us borrow their cars.
We have just been advised of the schedule air date of the show, Friday,
May 8,1998. Let everyone know to tune in. Nickelodeon has an audience of over 6 million worldwide, so this publicity should benefit QMA and JSCA.
Due to the "charade" element of the show, they did not feel it appropriate to
use the word "midget." They asked if they could refer to the racing as
Junior Sprints on the answer board, which we agreed to. We did make sure that both QMA and JSCA patches were on Michael's driving jacket. We were hoping for
time for Michael to answer any questions for the panelists but the racing
segment was too long, and no time was left. They will be acknowledging the
Mid Florida QMA track at the end of the show, and I am sure they will contact us if they have an influx of people calling wanting more information.
We would appreciate it if you could spread the word in your regions as to the
broadcast.
Thanks,
Joanne and Steve Messeri
