What
is a Quartermidget? It's an open
wheel race car built "kid size". It looks just like a
full midget race car driven by stars such as Jeff Gordon, Ryan Newman, Terry and Bobby LaBonte, Jason Leffler, J.J. Yeley, Jerry Coons, Jr, Tracy Hines,
Jay Drake, and Bud Kaeding. just to name a few. Kids
5 through 16 years of age are eligible to participate.
WHERE can NEW QUARTER MIDGET RACERS find out information? The only independent, PRINT Publication is a MUST READ for all new and seasoned racers. The best Chassis Manufacturer's and Engine Builders support this publication by advertising.

Many of you know there were the usual crashes and bashes that go along with a National Event. One such accident involved Joe Ryan Osborn from Pennsylvania. During the Light B A-main, Joe Ryan was hurt when he hit the wall head-on exiting the corner after getting hit on his inside while in the middle of the corner. He suffered serious head trauma and is currently in a neck brace. Please sign the GuestBook - My Guestbook

As many of you know, last December the Clouse family suffered a fire that destroyed their home. Although they were grateful no one was hurt, the loss of their home and personal possessions was devastating. Among the items that were lost were Cooper's trophies from the 2007 Eastern Grands at Miami Valley. The Miami Valley club was able to put a smile back on Cooper's face when they presented him with replacement trophies at the regional race June 8. Great job again Cooper!!

Region 6 has announced that Lone Star QMA (and Region 6) handler, Robin Dallenbach has co-written a new book (read more) The last race for the Indoor Series in Columbus this year was held this past weekend. The event actually begins the Region 4 - 2008 Season. Latest car count was 266. That number is down from other years, but on Friday, a massive Ice Storm hit the region. The weather was cold and it was brisk inside the Ohio State Fairgrounds, Swine Barn, for the racing. But QuarterMidget Drivers came to race. Some of the most competitive racing happens at the Indoor event in Ohio.
Watch for results coming soon.
The small Minnesota Quarter Midget Club in Elko, is growing. That's due in part by the club hosting a "Try It - You'll Like It" Day last spring. Many tracks across the country are doing the same. This group hosted one event where over 90 driver's came out for the event. After 70 driver's got their chance, rain washed out the event. All but 2 of the 20 drivers left, didn't return for their drive. The club reports they have gained about 10 cars from the event. They will hold another date on May 4th with a rain date of May 5th.
